The Flow of Time: A Story

Published here is a short story that writer Davide Morosinotto composed for the students of the course Aesthetics of
New Media in the Master’s degree program Music, cultures, media, performace at the University of Milan.
The students were working on Rabelais’s Gargantua and Pantagruel, and Morosinotto, too, took inspiration from an
episode in the novel. The purpose behind his choice is explained in the section entitled From the Source to the Idea.
Readers are nevertheless advised to begin with the story itself, so as not to spoil the surprise. [Editors’ note]
